At this time, I am only seeing clients virtually through HIPAA-compliant platforms.
I provide individual, couple, and family therapy.
Time does help some things. But time alone doesn't teach you new ways to cope, help you understand patterns you keep repeating, or give you a safe place to process something that's been hard to say out loud. If you've been waiting for things to feel better on their own and they haven't — or if you've been "fine" for so long that you've stopped expecting more than that — therapy might be worth trying.
Yes! In fact, therapy is often most valuable during active treatment, not after. I am comfortable coordinating with medical providers, reproductive endocrinologists, dietitians, and other members of a care team when that's appropriate and when you've given consent. I've worked in integrated-care settings and understand how to collaborate without overstepping.
This is more common than most people realize, and it matters. Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all — fit, approach, and timing all affect whether it works. If a previous experience wasn't helpful, I'd want to understand why. We can talk about that in the intro call. Sometimes the difference is the method. Sometimes it's the relationship. Sometimes it's simply that the timing is different now.
Research consistently shows that telehealth therapy is as effective as in-person therapy for the vast majority of concerns, including trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety. For many people — especially those navigating pregnancy loss, fertility treatment, or eating concerns — the ability to attend from home removes a meaningful barrier. All sessions use HIPAA-compliant video platforms.
After much persuasion from clients, I've created an online store with Red Bubble, where you can find some of the therapeutic (or ridiculous) things I say in therapy and supervision!
The Latin quote "ad astra per aspera" is often translated as "through hardship, to the stars." It summarizes my therapeutic philosophy and my efforts to provide people with the support they need to create a life worth living.
